I have gathered some important reasons politicians will fight the reversal of Fuel Subsidy removal, see them:
For Jonathan, It's policy of Election and satisfying his political party, It was released today that they PDP chieftains ensured Mr. Jonathan removes the oil subsidy before April 2011, because before/by April, there will be some elections in some gubernatorial seats that the PDP will be contesting in a view to win and they don't want the new to affect the outcomes.
For Governor Sullivan,Oshiomole and the Likes, It's about the state allocation they and their wives will be privileged to manage arising from the removal of fuel subsidy, they sincerely believe it's a way to increase their earnings (or what do u call it) from the Federal account (Sorry from what should serve Nigerians). It is a sure way to enrich themselves!
For the silent Governors, it is about the allocations and the continued seating allowance (as i describe it) they receive every Tuesday from the Aso Rock meeting. I heard it's about N20 million naira every Tuesday!
For Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, he's most definitely looking forward to an employment in the world bank.
Now you see the reasons Nigerians should take the fuel subsidy removal and move on with their lives.
