The story of Ime Anwana; a young lady we should all be proud of
Her story was aired on NTA Newsline on Sunday March 25th 2012. A concerned citizen wrote what you are about to read after watching the programme...
A young lady, Ime Anwana, a Batch "A" corps member, was posted to serve in the NNPC depot in Niger State. She visited a friend serving at a local girls secondary secondary in the nearby village of Kaffin Koro and was told the school has no chemistry teacher.
Ime volunteered to use her free time on Friday evenings to teach chemistry to the students - free of charge. While teaching in the school she saw the sorry state of the student accommodation and took it upon upon herself to do something about it.
She raised the sum of 3.8 million naira and supervised the building of a student hostel equipped with 40 double bunk beds complete with mattresses.
One fateful day, while riding on a motorbike taxi (Okada) on the way to the project site she had an accident that killed the Okada rider and seriously injured her. She spent three weeks in a coma and was bed-ridden for three months.

Many of us would have diverted the money for our personal use, imagine what this beautiful Lady accomplished, I just couldn't stop thinking of what this young woman has accomplished in just over 25 years on earth. How wont God receive her into his Kingdom even if she'd died in that fatal accident, but he saved her.
God has blessed me with a very beautiful friend, i wont stop at celebrating this shinning light.

MediaTakeOut.com was first tipped off by dozens of readers who claimed that Bey's new 2 month old baby looked strange in recent pics...and they suspected that Bey might be carrying around a doll - instead of a 2 month old baby.
Well MedaTakeOut.com did an investigation - and our findings were STARTLING!!! We looked at photos of Blue taken about a WEEK AND A HALF in New York - and compared them with images taken two days ago. In the photos, Baby Blue grew in height about 11%. To put that in perspective, if Blue was the AVERAGE HEIGHT two weeks ago (according to the WTO growth charts) she would have been 22 inches tall. In less than 2 WEEKS, Blue would have grown at LEAST 2.5 inches - making her the size of the average FOUR MONTH OLD. A growth rate like that is almost UNHEARD OF!!!

Nigerian Soldiers Arrest 33 Boko Haram Members in Kaduna
Soldiers have raided a suspected Boko Haram hideout in Barnawa Complex area of Kaduna metropolis and arrested 33 suspects, including a newspaper and suya vendors.
Daily Trust gathered that soldiers from 1 Mechanized Division of the Nigerian Army conducted the operation on Sunday following a directive from Abuja but residents said none of the suspects were Boko Haram members.
The soldiers, according to witness, arrived at the area around 10pm in about nine vehicles and started arresting everyone around, including passersby.
The eyewitness, who gave his name as Malam Babangida, said "the soldiers just came to the area without any warning or reason for arresting people. They started molesting people who were doing their lawful businesses and others who came here regularly to buy suya and other foods."
He said when he and some relatives of the arrested people went to 1 Division to enquire about the arrest; they were told that the order to arrest was from the army headquarters, Abuja as they were suspected to be members of the Boko Haram sect.
Another witness said that the suspects were later brought by the army in hand cuffs and taken to their houses. He said the houses were photographed and the soldiers took suspects back to their barracks.
When contacted on his mobile phone, the Assistant Director, Army Public Relations in charge of 1 Division, Colonel Abubakar Edun, said he has been transferred from the division.
North Must Produce President In 2015 Or Nigeria Will Divide - Atiku's Associate
Alhaji Lawal Kaita, close ally of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, who promised Nigerians in October 2010 that the North would make the country ungovernable for President Jonathan if he won the 2011 election, is again spitting fire.
This time around he is insisting that a Northerner must emerge as President of the country by 2015 or there would be no Nigeria any more.
“We hear rumours all over that Jonathan is planning to contest in 2015. Well, the North is going to be prepared if the country remains one. That is, if the country remains one, we are going to fight for it. If not, everybody can go his way,” he said in an interview in Katsina.
Kaita, who described the emergence of the Bamanga Tukur-led NWC of the party as a grand ploy by President Goodluck Jonathan to contest the 2015 presidential race, said the North would ensure he never succeeds.
It would be recalled that Alhaji Kaita had said in October 2010 that "The North is determined, if that happens, to make the country ungovernable for President Jonathan or any other Southerner who finds his way to the seat of power on the platform of the PDP against the principle of the party’s zoning policy".
Kaita had, at that time, warned that the North should not be blamed for the calamity that will befall the country, if Jonathan emerges President.
Alleged drug offence: 72 year old Nigerian woman held in Brazil

According to the chairman of the House of Reps committee on Diaspora, Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa, a 72 year old Nigerian woman, identified as Fausat Aosede is being held in Brazilian over drug related offenses.
Hon Dabiri-Erewa traveled to Brazil with some members of her committee on a fact finding mission after the woman's plight and that of at least 456 other Nigerians, including 14 women, serving various jail terms over drug offenses, were brought to her attention by an NGO known as 'Youths Without Borders'.
In a media chat this week, the law maker said the 72 yr old woman was lured to Brazil on the pretense of getting medical treatment by another lady called Patricia. When it was time for the old woman to go back home, Patricia allegedly gave her a parcel to take back to Nigeria. Unknowingly to the old woman, the parcel contained drugs. She was arrested at a Brazilian airport as she tried to leave the country.
Because of her age, the woman is not in prison as Brazilian law forbids jailing anybody above the age of 70, but she is being held in confinement and will be sent to a remand home if convicted.
The honourable said a lawyer has been arranged to handle the woman's case, and that of other Nigerians serving jail terms in the country.
