Ringim’s last day in office


Mr Hafiz Abubakar Ringim’ s last day in office started when he arrived the 7th floor of his office at about 9 am, yesterday.

He went straight to work, calling for briefing on the situation report regarding security in the country and the latest on the response by security agencies on the Boko Haram sect in Kano.
After the briefings, Ringim issued directives on what should be done to his Commissioners of Police in troubled areas.

Having done that, he summoned a meeting of the management team comprising the DIGs and the AIG in charge Force Secretary, where all .matters concerning the police, including welfare, operations, discipline and security, postings and promotions were discussed.
After the meeting, Ringim remained in the office treating files until about 3 pm when he had another meeting with the Commissioner of Police in charge Mobile Police and the Commissioner of Police in charge of Helicopter.

At about 4. 30pm,Ringim directed that the few visitors that had come to see him be allowed into his visitors room.
It was gathered that Ringim was in high spirits waiting for Mr President’s approval of his request to embark on his accumulated leave.
